Police have been at the former home of convicted paedophile Leslie Ford-Thrussell, 72, all day following an anonymous tip off that human remains are buried at the property.

In the last hour police on the scene released a statement in which they confirmed that forensic archaeologists will commence their investigations at the South London House later today with a 'finger tip' search of the back garden.
Local residents are said to be relieved following the statement. A neighbor, mother of 5 Cheryl Jones (17), said 'its a huge relief for me. I had visions of Fred West's Gloucester house of horrors. I can breath again now police have said they are only looking for a finger tip'.
